Nor dies it begin with the diminishing of the numer of practicing believers. Secularization begins the moment religion loses touch with actual, real human life, when in lives of individuals and societies there disappear the patterns of behavior inspired by faith; and, even more precisely, when the religious description of realitiy which evokes such patterns of behavior is no longer adequate.“
